Visits & Activities

The Abbey of Beaulieu

Visit a beautiful Abbey of the XIIth century and its rose garden. After 3 years of work, I was delighted to go to the (re)discovery of this monument where reigns a particular atmosphere. The Abbey of Beaulieu surprises by its exceptional location. By crossing the small country roads, smell the hay... and at the turn of a road, you see the large building of this cistercian abbey, hidden in the fields. Inside, we discover the important collection of modern art accumulated by the Brache-Bonnefoi couple, including works of the Thirty Glorious Years and the New School of Paris with artists such as Dubuffet, Michaux, Hantaï…

The Bosc Cave

Discovery in 1936 by local speleologists, the Bosc cave is open to the public since 1938. We discover a great diversity of concretions: stalactites, columns, discs, cauliflower... that we can observe very closely. The advantage is that the visit takes place in small groups. During this intimate visit, the guide can answer all questions. Sometimes, you have to bend down, touch the walls...it's almost a spelunking experience. With a little luck, you can even see a bat!

Parisot Lake

For several years now, the Parisot lake has become an essential place to go with my family. It is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the nature around while having fun. We take you with us on our little beach in the countryside!

Najac and its Castle

Najac is a green village, surrounded by forests which summer and winter offer amazing and varied tones. The widening of the street becoming a vast square testifies to its transformation into a bastide in the middle of the XIIIth century. All along the street you will not cease to admire the great number of old houses and at passing a remarkable fountain of the XIVth century still in place. At the top, the royal castle of Najac built in the middle of the XIIIth century is the work of Alphonse de Poitiers, brother of Saint Louis. Classified as a Historical Monument this castle was part of a network of royal castles located in the valley of the Aveyron.

The Farmers' Markets

We discover that every day there is a market nearby: the Wednesday at Laguépie, the Friday at Parisot, the Saturday at Caylus, the Sunday at Saint Antonin-Noble-Val or Najac. We smell the spices, the freshly roasted coffee, the voices resonate under the hall... . Cheeses, charcuteries, aligot, fruits and vegetables, but also jewelry, clothes, books... the ideal to concoct a varied picnic.
