Welcome to La Maison Vieille, a characterful residence from the 16th century, built by the Knights of Malta. Carefully restored, it blends period charm and modern comfort to offer you an authentic and warm stay, at the heart of a preserved family estate.
Located on high ground, the house overlooks the village lake and offers a remarkable natural setting, perfect for recharging and sharing special moments.
With its 4 bedrooms and large living spaces, La Maison Vieille can host up to 8 people. It is ideal for family holidays, multi-generational stays, or getaways with friends. Each room has been thoughtfully arranged to combine simplicity, comfort, and authenticity, while telling the story of the place.
Outside, everything is brought together for relaxation and sharing:*
Imagine family breakfasts overlooking the lake, afternoons by the pool, starry evenings...
At La Maison Vieille, every moment becomes a memory.

A week at La Maison Vieille
- Saturday: Arrival at Ventaujols. Your grocery drive has been picked up by us; all you have to do is settle in and enjoy the place.
- Sunday morning: Wake up to birdsong and breakfast on the terrace under the walnut tree. Then, off to the Najac market—a great opportunity to plan a visit to its fortress in the afternoon, followed by relaxation at La Maison Vieille by the pool.
- Monday: Head to Cordes-sur-Ciel, one of the most beautiful villages in France, then discover Albi, a city listed as UNESCO World Heritage. In the evening, enjoy a barbecue in the outdoor fireplace, with local products bought at the market.
- Tuesday: Visit the Caylus market to stock up on seasonal fruit and vegetables, then head to Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val for a walk in the village or a canoe trip. Relaxing afterwards in the pool's water is well-deserved after a sporty day.

- Wednesday: Relaxation and contemplation at Beaulieu Abbey, a modern art center. Why not indulge in an ice cream at the rose garden? Maybe a bike ride on your way back?
- Thursday: Morning at the Villefranche-de-Rouergue market, followed by a visit to the town with its arcades and magnificent collegiate church. In the evening, stroll across the fields, to the lake for the food market from local producers, accompanied by live music at Guinguette les Poissons Volants in a festive atmosphere.
- Friday: While picking up bread, take a detour to the small Parisot market and a climb to the viewpoint for an amazing view. The restaurant Fourchette et Cie will offer you local homemade cuisine. Savor a book, enjoy the slow passing time in La Maison Vieille's garden.
- One last excursion perhaps, to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie or the Grotte du Bosc near Caylus. Then, in the evening, celebrate the end of your holiday at the Café Bar La Maison in the village, with live music in a friendly atmosphere.
