L’Atelier – A place of inspiration in the heart of nature

Once an artist’s studio, L’Atelier is a peaceful retreat nestled in nature, at the end of a private road. Surrounded by meadows and on the edge of a forest, this intimate spot invites relaxation, creativity, and reconnection.

A peaceful cocoon to reconnect

Independent and with no direct neighbors, the enclosed garden is a haven of tranquility. On the sunny terrace, a private SPA awaits you for peaceful moments, in perfect privacy. Inside, natural light fills the spaces: a perfect place to paint, write, meditate or simply let your inspiration flow.

A timeless stay

L’Atelier is much more than a holiday home: it’s a space for creation and reconnection, designed as a sanctuary to slow down, dream and rediscover yourself. Whether you come alone, as a couple, or for an artist retreat, this unique place welcomes you for an authentic stay, far from the bustle, closer to yourself.

A week at the Atelier

– Saturday: Arrival at Ventaujols. Your shopping has been picked up for you, all you need to do is settle in and enjoy the place.

– Sunday morning: Wake up to birdsong and have breakfast on the terrace. Then, off to the Najac market, a great opportunity to visit its fortress in the afternoon, followed by relaxation back at L'Atelier in the bubbles of the SPA.

– Monday: Head to Cordes-sur-Ciel, one of the most beautiful villages in France, then discover Albi, a UNESCO World Heritage city. In the evening, it’s barbecue, with the fresh products bought from the market.

– Tuesday: Visit the Caylus market to stock up on seasonal fruits and vegetables, then on to Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val for a stroll in the village or a canoe trip. Relaxing in the sun after an active day will be well deserved.

– Wednesday: Relaxation and contemplation at the Abbaye de Beaulieu, a modern art center. Why not treat yourself to ice cream in the rose garden? Maybe a bike ride on the way back?

– Thursday: Morning at the Villefranche-de-Rouergue market, followed by a visit of the town with its arcades and beautiful collegiate church. In the evening, stroll across the fields, to the lake shore for the gourmet farmers' market, with live music at the Guinguette des Poissons Volants in a festive atmosphere.

– Friday: While picking up bread, take a side trip to the small Parisot market and climb to the viewpoint for a breathtaking panorama. The restaurant Fourchette et Cie will offer you local, homemade cuisine. Enjoy a book, savor the slow passing of time in the Atelier’s garden or go for a walk on the paths around Ventaujols.

One last adventure perhaps, to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie or the Bosc cave near Caylus. Then, in the evening, celebrate the end of your holiday at Café Bar La Maison in the village, with live music and a festive vibe.
